Steel industry training
Frequently Asked Questions
RPCC is in the process of developing comprehensive steel training program*. Students can begin their steel industry training pathway by completing one of four Certificate of Technical Studies programs already available at RPCC and participating LCTC institutions (Industrial Maintenance-Millwright, Electrical Technology*, Instrumentation Technology, and Process Technology). After pathway certificate completion, students will transition into specialized steel industry training (under development)*.
The program* is designed to create clear, accessible pathways into high-demand careers in the steel industry while strengthening the regional talent pipeline. The program will include multiple entry points and specializations, offering students an opportunity to customize training to meet future employment and career demands.
Learn more about the pathway on the Steel Training Pathway page.
*Note: Off-campus instructional site and training program are subject to applicable state and accreditor approval processes.
