The RPCC Career Success Office supports RPCC's mission to provide work-based learning opportunities and career readiness resources for students, alumni, and residents of our river parishes community with the support from our leading business and industry partners.
Work-Based Learning
RPCC's Career Success Office facilitates and builds relationships with our industry partners across all employment sectors. Most notably, Process Technology and Instrumentation and Electrical Technology. Our Career Success office works with industry partners to disseminate job information to students (particularly internships) and sets up interviews for students with our industry partners on RPCC campuses.

The Career Success office hosts apprenticeship orientations and serves as a resource for those students participating in work-based learning opportunities.
DOW Apprenticeship Program
Since 2015, RPCC has partnered with DOW Chemical to provide apprenticeships and employment pathways to more than 240 students in Process Technology, Instrumentation, and Industrial Maintenance.
The DOW Apprenticeship program is a competitive admission program with a five-month application process. The apprenticeship application is open to public and students with under 30 credit hours. The program allows students earn while they learn by working at DOW while pursuing their education at RPCC. It is a rigorous program requiring hard work and dedication from the apprentice - students take a full-course load each semester, typically two days a week, and working at DOW the remainder of their workweek during their apprenticeship. Successful completion of the program positions the student for potential full-time employment at DOW upon graduation.
Application Process
Applications for the DOW Apprenticeship program open in January each year on DOW's website. Check back to this page and on RPCC social media channels for the link to apply and further application details.
