Marketing & Communications

The Office of Marketing and Communications at RPCC facilitates effective communication between the college and its various audiences, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, public officials, and the community at large.

RPCC Style Guide & Communications Handbook

Before developing any communication materials that represent RPCC, be sure to review the official RPCC Style Guide and Communications Handbook. This guide outlines the college’s official branding policies, including guidelines for the use of the RPCC logo, graphic design standards, and a writing style guide. For assistance, please contact [email protected].

How to Work with Us

The Office of Marketing and Communications offers a range of services to support the RPCC community, including:

  • Website Development

  • Media Relations
  • Creative Services

Please submit a Communications Support Web Form to let us know how we can assist with your next project. Resources

At River Parishes Community College, we strive to maintain a consistent and professional image across all communication channels. To assist faculty and staff in representing the college effectively, we’ve developed a variety of resources, including branded PowerPoint templates, official letterhead, and other materials designed to align with RPCC’s graphic and editorial standards.

Whether you're preparing a presentation, drafting official correspondence, or promoting an event, these tools will help ensure that all materials are on-brand and cohesive.

Official Logo

RPCC’s official logo is the primary graphic identifier for the college and all its campuses, departments, and divisions. For guidance on proper usage or to obtain the logo in the required format, email [email protected].

Social Media

Social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube, are vital tools for sharing information about RPCC. Before managing or creating any social media accounts associated with the college, review the Social Media Guidelines to ensure compliance with best practices. For assistance, contact [email protected].

Media Release Form

A Media Release Form—also known as a Talent Release Form, Photo/Video Release Form, or Likeness Release Form—is a legal document that grants River Parishes Community College permission to use a student’s (or employee’s) likeness, voice, name, and/or written or spoken statements in various forms of media. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Photographs
  • Video recordings
  • Audio recordings
  • Interviews or testimonials
  • Social media posts
  • Website content
  • Promotional materials
  • Advertising and marketing collateral
  • Internal publications and reports
Why is it necessary?

The form protects the college and ensures we have explicit permission to use individuals’ likenesses in public-facing communications. It also respects individuals’ privacy and provides them with clarity on how their image or voice may be used.

When is it required?

A signed Media Release Form must be obtained before capturing or publishing any photo, video, or audio of an identifiable individual for college-related promotional, informational, or instructional purposes. This applies when:

  • The individual is clearly recognizable in the content.
  • The content will be used in external communications (social media, website, press releases, print materials, etc.).
  • The individual is providing a testimonial or participating in a feature story or video.
  • You are coordinating a photo or video shoot involving students, faculty, or staff.
When is it not required?
  • If the media is taken in a public setting or large group (e.g., graduation, festivals, public events) where individuals are not the primary subject.
  • If the subject is not identifiable (e.g., back of head, blurred, distant).
  • If content is used for internal purposes only, such as documentation or non-public planning materials.
Best Practice:

When in doubt—get the form signed. It’s better to have documentation on file than to seek retroactive permission or risk removing valuable content.

Submission and storage:

Completed forms should be scanned and sent to the Office of Communications for central recordkeeping. Originals may be retained by the requesting department if needed.
