Electrical Concentration, I&E Technology, Associate of Applied Science (AAS)*

Beginning in Fall 2026, River Parishes Community College will offer an Electrical Concentration* within the Associate of Applied Science in Instrumentation and Electrical Technology program.
Modeled on the comprehensive Electrical curriculum developed by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER), the Electrical concentration in the Instrumentation and Electrical Technology Associate of Applied Science (AAS) prepares students for employment and careers as skilled electrical professionals. With an emphasis on safe work practices, theory, expansion and depth of knowledge with increasing skill development, the curriculum includes residential, commercial, and industrial applications and integrates the National Electrical Code at all levels. Because the curriculum aligns with the NCCER curriculum, RPCC’s Electrical concentration complies with the U.S. Department of Labor’s standards for apprenticeship programs.
