Commercial Learner Permit (CLP) Preparation

Going to CDL School? RPCC Can Help You Get There.

Planning to attend a commercial truck driving program?

RPCC Adult Education offers a no-cost Commercial Learner Permit (CLP) Preparation Course designed to help students prepare for CDL school, regardless of where they plan to complete their driver training.

Students receive instruction covering:

• General Knowledge
• Air Brakes
• Combination Vehicles

Classes are offered in person at the Gonzales and Reserve campuses.

Whether you're preparing for a new career in transportation or taking the first step toward earning your CDL, this course helps build the confidence and knowledge needed before entering CDL school.

Introduction to Construction

In partnership with the St. James Parish Government, RPCC Adult Education offers a hands-on construction training program designed to prepare students for careers in the skilled trades.

Participants receive:

• OSHA 10 Construction Certification
• Basic Orientation Plus (BOP)

The program emphasizes:

• Workplace safety
• Hands-on learning
• Industry-recognized credentials
• Career readiness
• Connections to employment opportunities

Training is offered in Lutcher and provides participants with practical skills that can lead to careers throughout Louisiana's growing construction industry. Eligible participants may also qualify for a training stipend.
