RPCC Adult Education’s Pathway to Citizenship & Employment combines English language learning with citizenship preparation and employment-focused skills. The program is designed to help eligible English language learners prepare for the U.S. naturalization process while strengthening skills that support success in the workplace and community.

Program components may include:

• English language instruction
• U.S. civics and citizenship preparation
• Preparation for the naturalization interview and civics test
• Workplace English
• Job-readiness and employability skills
• Digital literacy
• Career exploration and employment preparation

RPCC Adult Education provides educational preparation and does not provide legal or immigration advice or guarantee citizenship.

Eligibility & Required Documentation

RPCC Adult Education services are available to eligible adults, including U.S. citizens and non-U.S. citizens who meet applicable eligibility requirements.

All students must provide documentation to verify eligibility before enrolling.

What Documents Can I Bring?

• U.S. Citizens: Social Security Number or an applicable Certificate of Naturalization or Certificate of Citizenship
• Lawful Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders): Form I-551 (Green Card) or a foreign passport with a valid visa stamp
• Asylees: Form I-94 showing asylum status or an asylum approval letter
• Refugees: Form I-94, Form I-571 (Refugee Travel Document), or Social Security Number
• Individuals Paroled into the U.S. for at Least One Year: Form I-94 showing parole status
• Individuals Granted Withholding of Deportation or Removal: Immigration Judge’s Order
• Certain Conditional Entrants: Form I-94 showing “Conditional Entrant”
• Cuban or Haitian Entrants: Form I-94 or applicable Department of Homeland Security (DHS) letter
• Citizens of the Freely Associated States (Micronesia, Marshall Islands, or Palau): Passport and Form I-94 showing Compact of Free Association (COFA) entry

Please Note: Some immigration statuses, including student and work visas, may not meet program eligibility requirements. RPCC Adult Education staff will verify eligibility based on the documentation provided.

Document Security: Students should bring documentation for verification and should not email eligibility documents. Documentation should only be provided to RPCC staff responsible for completing eligibility verification.
