Research and Effectiveness Data
RPCC maintains multiple data dashboard displays that offer insights in to key enrollment and student success related metrics. Dashboards are available at the links below:
IPEDS Data Feedback Reports
RPCC utilizes the IPEDS Data Feedback Report, with standardized data across institutions of higher education (including peer-institution performance data), as a primary data source for informing students and other stakeholders of the College’s progress toward meeting its goals for student achievement.
Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE)
RPCC administers the Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE). This survey helps the college to focus on good educational practices and identify areas for improving programs and services for students. The CCSSE is administered during the spring to mostly returning students and asks about institutional practices and student behaviors that are highly correlated with student learning and retention. The survey is administered at least once per strategic planning period but may be offered more often based on need.
Survey on Entering Student Engagement (SENSE)
RPCC administers the Survey of Entering Student Engagement (SENSE) to explore why some entering students persist and succeed and others do not. SENSE is administered in the 4th and 5th weeks of the fall academic term and asks students to reflect on their earliest experiences (academic and services-related) with the college.
Each year, RPCC publishes a fact sheet including key information about the makeup of the college.
The Fact Book is a readily accessible, consistent source of information about River Parishes Community College. It is a summary of institutional data gathered from many sources, compiled to capture the each academic year. In some instances, multiple years of data are provided for a historical prospective. Enrollment data is extracted from 14th class day tables. Though not all-encompassing, the book does provide pertinent facts and figures that may be used for planning, decision making, policy formation, recruitment, and public relations.
Response to HCR 69
The Louisiana Legislature passed House Concurrent Resolution 69 in the 2011 Legislative Session, replacing House Concurrent Resolution 197 of 2010. House Concurrent Resolution 69 urges and requests “each public institution of postsecondary education to report annually certain information to the House Committee on Education and the Senate Committee on Education and on its website.” The webpage provided below is RPCC's response to HCR 69.
