RPCC faculty, staff, or students requiring IT support should send an email containing their first name, last name, and a brief description of the issue to [email protected] to open a support ticket. Please provide the LoLA username or LoLA ID number if the issue relates to RPCC or LoLA account access.

Normal hours of operation for RPCC IT Services are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Emails, voicemails, and support tickets that arrive outside of normal operating hours will be replied to as soon as reasonably possible on the following business day.

RPCC IT Services personnel are often out of the office working on support tickets. The best way to contact them is via email. If you call them, please leave a message.

RPCC Email Accounts

RPCC uses Microsoft Office 365 to host all faculty, staff, and student email accounts. Please see the Campus Email page for information on accessing your account. Users who are unable to log in to their RPCC Office 365 email accounts should submit an IT support ticket for assistance.

RPCC Secure Wi-Fi Access

RPCC faculty, staff, and students have access to secure wireless networks at both the Main Campus (Gonzales) and the Westside Campus (Plaquemine). LoLA username and password are required to log in. Instructions are available in Student Services and the Library at Main Campus and in the front office at the Westside campus. Instructions and technical support may be requested by opening an IT support ticket.

LoLA, Banner, and Cognos

RPCC IT Services can (as a last resort) assist with password changes for LoLA accounts; however, this can cause password synchronization issues with Canvas and student email accounts. The preferred method is for users to change the passwords on the LoLA login page.

Faculty and Staff experiencing LoLA, Banner, or Cognos issues should submit an RPCC IT support ticket for initial troubleshooting. Determination will be made if the issue should be escalated to the LCTCS Help Desk.

Students experiencing LoLA login issues may wish to consider changing their passwords on the LoLA login page. Contact information for technical support can be found on the LoLA login page.

Canvas Technical Support

Your preferred email address in Canvas is linked to your preferred email address in LoLA. You can update it by following these steps. It may take 15 to 30 minutes to sync the change from LoLA to Canvas.

  1. Log in to LoLA.
  2. Click on the hyperlink for “River Parishes Community College”.
  3. Click on “Personal Information”.
  4. Click on “Update E-mail Addresses”.

Please see the RPCC Canvas Help page for information on logging in to your Canvas account. Users who experience difficulties logging in to Canvas may wish to consider changing their LoLA password on the LoLA login page. You should wait 15 to 30 minutes after changing your LoLA password before trying to log in to Canvas.
