Academics at River Parishes Community College

River Parishes Community College, Academic Affairs, includes all technical and transfer credit programs, library services, and college-wide institutional effectiveness. Academic Affairs supports the mission of RPCC through providing leadership, quality service, and instruction that leads to technical certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees for transfer or the workforce.

Campus Email

All RPCC faculty, staff, and student email accounts are hosted by Microsoft Office 365. RPCC Office 365 accounts include up to 1 TB of cloud storage and the ability to download and install full versions of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 on personal computers, tablets, and / or smart phones. Please refer to the instructions provided in your Office 365 account for additional information. Software licenses remain active as long as the account remains active. Accounts remain active as long as the faculty / staff member remains employee at RPCC, or as long as the student is actively enrolled and attending RPCC.

Faculty & Staff Login

Username – RPCC email address

Password – RPCC password

Passwords cannot be updated or changed from Office 365. Faculty and staff should update their passwords at an RPCC on-campus computer. Faculty and staff who are unable to change their passwords on-campus, should send an email containing their first name, last name, LoLA ID number (aka Employee ID), and a brief description of the issue to help@rpcc.edu to open a support ticket. Normal operating hours for RPCC IT Services are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Support tickets opened during non-operating hours will be replied to as soon as reasonably possible on the next business day.

Student Login

Username – [LoLA username]@students.rpcc.edu

Default Password – LoLA Password

Passwords cannot be updated or changed from Office 365. Passwords for student accounts are synced from LoLA and all password changes must be completed through LoLA

Transfer students from other LCTCS colleges and former dual-enrollment students will not automatically receive an RPCC Office 365 account due to their LoLA accounts still being associated with the college where they previously attended or applied. This does not affect students transferring from non-LCTCS colleges and universities such as LSU, Southern, Southeastern, etc. Accounts for students with long periods of inactivity may have been disabled and those students also may not automatically receive an RPCC Office 365 account.

Canvas Email

Your preferred email address in Canvas is linked to your preferred email address in LoLA. You can update it by following these steps. It may take 15 to 30 minutes to sync the change from LoLA to Canvas.

1. Log in to LoLA.
2. Click on the hyperlink for “River Parishes Community College”.
3. Click on “Personal Information”.
4. Click on “Update E-mail Addresses”.
