This limited time scholarship opportunity is for 2025 high school graduates and a parent or guardian to attend River Parishes Community College this fall and spring semesters. Eligible students can apply for a scholarship up to $2,000 toward the cost of tuition and fees toward their first year. Their parent or legal guardian can also apply for a scholarship up to $2,000 toward the cost of tuition and fees toward their first year. Awards are based on available funds and eligibility.

*Renewal of Spring 2026 award is contingent upon meeting the retention reqirements of maintaining full time enrollment.

Scholarship Criteria: 

1. Be a Louisiana Resident;
2. File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA™) for the 2025-2026 year;
3. Be a 2025 High School graduate from a public or private school in one of the following parishes: Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, Iberville, Livingston, St. James, St. John the Baptist, and St. Charles; AND/OR Be the Parent or legal guardian of a 2025 High School Graduate from a public or private school in those parishes.
4. The recipient must be enrolled full-time (6 or more credit hours in summer or 12 or more credit hours in fall and spring) at River Parishes Community College through the 14th day of class;
5. Have registered for classes no later than the established scholarship deadline.

Steps to Apply:

1. Complete RPCC Admissions Application
2. Complete FAFSA™ 
3. Schedule 6 or more credit hours in Summer 2025 or 12 or more credit hours for the Fall 2025 semester.
4. Complete the Scholarship Application
