River Parishes Community College (RPCC) invites current and prospective students, families, and community members to celebrate Community College Week, taking place March 23–27. The week highlights the impact of community colleges and provides opportunities for students to take the next step toward their educational and career goals.
Throughout the week, RPCC will host a series of events designed to support enrollment, student success, and career exploration. Two featured events on Wednesday at the Gonzales Campus will provide hands-on assistance and valuable information for students at every stage of their journey.
From 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., RPCC will host an Early College Option (ECO) Information Fair, where students and families can learn more about the program that allows high school students to earn college credit while completing their high school education. The ECO program provides a strong head start toward a degree or career pathway.
Students interested in applying to the Early College Option program can complete an application at: Earlycollegeoption.ascensionschools.org/families.
Immediately following, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., RPCC will host a FAFSA Completion Event, offering personalized assistance to help students and families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Financial aid experts will be on hand to guide participants through the process, answer questions, and help ensure students are maximizing their opportunities for financial support.
“Community College Week is an opportunity to connect students with the resources they need to succeed,” said RPCC Chancellor Quintin Taylor. “Whether it’s getting a head start through our Early College Option program or securing financial aid through FAFSA, we are committed to helping students take meaningful steps toward their future.”
