Practical Nursing program candidates must have Accuplacer scores to apply to the program. The minimum Accuplacer score requirements are in Figure 1. 

*All scores must be dated within three years of the program start date.

Candidates who score within the ranges indicated in Figure 2 can participate in a FREE refresher course with the RPCC Adult Education department. For more information, email [email protected]. Candidates who successfully complete the refresher course are then eligible to apply to the program. Figure 2 is listed below. 

Candidates are not required to complete the refresher course but can retake the Accuplacer to ascertain the minimum score requirements. Candidates who score below the Figure 2 scores in any content area can still participate in the refresher course but will be required to retake the Accuplacer to ascertain the minimum score requirements for that content area.

Qualifying test scores, completion of the refresher course(s), and a completed application do not guarantee enrollment into the practical nursing program. The final determination on acceptance into the practical nursing program will be based on ranking all eligible candidates and the total number of spots available in the practical nursing program.
