POLICY
In some cases, the Office of Financial Aid may adjust a student’s EFC by using professional judgment due to special family circumstances. These circumstances may include a family’s unusual medical or dental expenses or tuition for children attending a private elementary or secondary school. Also, an adjustment may be made if the student, spouse, or (if a dependent student) parent has lost his or job or taken a decrease in salary. For consideration of the special circumstances, the student must complete an Income Adjustment Request Form and submit any documentation required to support the special circumstances. This form can be obtained from the Office of Financial Aid.
