What does a welder do?

A welder permanently joins pieces of metal through the use of different processes. In addition to fusing metal, repairing metal parts, as well as grinding and soldering materials are a few of the job duties that may be encountered. Welders are responsible for following blueprints and specifications; using manual or semi-automatic equipment to weld metal, operate flame cutting, brazing and using metal shaping machinery.

What is the average salary?

Average salaries range from $35,000 to $45,000 annually, depending on your experience level and number of hours worked.
