What is Basic Access Industrial Scaffolding Training?
Basic Access Industrial Scaffolding is entry level scaffold builder training. The training covers the four types of scaffold components used by the leading scaffold companies in this area: pinlock, cuplock, safway, and excel.
What else is included in the training?
Training includes instruction on OSHA Standard 1926.450 for scaffolding & 1926.500 for fall protection. The training also includes instruction on personal responsibility, customer service, physical fitness, roles of a high performing scaffolding team, safety, tool use, identifying different types of scaffolding, and numerous activities erecting and dismantling scaffolding.
When is the training offered?
One (2 week/80 hour) course is offered each month.

What is the average starting salary?
Average wage is $14-17, employment opportunities are currently available.
Training Requirements
- Must wear ANSI approved steel toe footwear
- Must be able to climb all styles of ladders
- Must not have fear of heights and use of fall protection
- Must meet the following physical fitness requirements:
- Lift/carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs from the ground or overhead throughout the day
- Walk 2-3 miles per day
- Endure extreme weather conditions
- Endure extremely noisy environments
Training & Tuition
Training lasts for 2 weeks (80 hours) and is Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
10 days / 8 hours a day for a total of 80 training hours
The cost is $1,500.00
Supply List: Wear the proper PPE for scaffolding at all times. Steel toe boots or shoes are mandatory.
