Crane Operator Training
Begin your career as a certified crane operator at River Parishes Community College! Training takes place at our main campus and is conducted Monday – Friday, from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. running four consecutive weeks.

What does a mobile crane operator do?
A crane operator assists with almost all heavy construction projects around the world. They can be seen in the background of every major project from skyscrapers to refinery work. An operator must possess a good understanding of load charts and equipment capabilities as well as an incredible command of the crane.
What is the average salary?
Average wage is $28.00-$32.00 an hour to start!! Most jobs offer ample opportunity for overtime as well.
What type of certification is offered?
Upon successful completion of the course, all operators will test for the fixed-cab telescopic-boom crane operator certification from the NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators). Operators have the opportunity to add even larger cranes to their certifications in the future.
Where can I work?
An NCCCO crane operator certification is accepted all over the US as well as many foreign territories.
