RPCC Math Help
Purpose:
The purpose of Math Help is to assist students with basic secondary math skills. A person may participate to improve his/her skills prior to enrolling in a college course or applying for a job. Someone may want to “refresh their skills” in order to better help their children with homework. All adults are welcome.
How Does Math Prep Work:
- Step 1: The student completes an application and submits fee. There is a $25.00 fee (fee may be waived) for the service.
- Step 2: The student completes a TABE assessment test for math. The math TABE assessment test consists of two parts (a computation section and an applied math section).
- Step 3: The student meets with a WorkReady U instructor to review TABE results and setup a schedule.
- Step 4: The student attends class, completes required class hours and retests.
The amount of time a student spends in Math Help depends on the student’s TABE assessment scores and the student’s goals.
