RPCC Scholarship Information

Foundation Scholarship and Workforce Tuition Assistance Information

RPCC Foundation Scholarships and Workforce Tuition Assistance are made possible through charitable donations to the Foundation and are provided to assist students with educational expenses. These scholarships are awarded by the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee in compliance with any applicable donor designations. It is not required but highly recommended that scholarship applicants complete the optional section of the scholarship application as some of the available scholarships have unique qualifiers.

RPCC has partnered with AwardSpring for an on-line scholarship application and notification process.  Go to RPCC.Awardspring.com to apply for scholarships.

Foundation Scholarships

To be eligible for a Foundation Scholarship, a student must be enrolled as a degree-seeking student in an academic program with at least six scheduled hours and have a current FAFSA on file.  Academic programs include Associate Degree programs including but not limited to General Studies, Process Technology, Louisiana Transfer programs, and other credit-based technical programs such as Practical Nursing and Medical Assistant.

Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.50.

Deadlines for submitting the RPCC Scholarship Application are:
June 15th for the Fall semester
November 15th for the Spring semester

The RPCC Foundation awards scholarships for a single semester. They may be renewed without reapplication, pending satisfactory academic progress (completing 67% of attempted credit hours) and a minimum GPA minimum of 2.50.

Award amounts for RPCC Foundation Scholarships are dependent on funds available, but range up to $2,000 per semester.

Workforce Tuition Assistance

The Foundation also offers Workforce Tuition Assistance of up to 50% of costs of non-credit programs such as Crane Operations, Scaffold Building, and Non-Destructive Testing.  Awards are based on available funds and the merits of the applicant as described in the application and supporting documents.
