RPCC Weather Updates
The National Hurricane Center expects southwest Mississippi and southeast Louisiana to feel direct impacts this week from Tropical Storm Gordon that is expected to make landfall late Tuesday as a Category 1 hurricane. Heavy rain, high winds and impacts on area rivers and lakes are expected.
Monday — 7:45 p.m. — The Reserve Campus will be closed tomorrow, 9/4/18 due to weather concerns. All other campuses will be open as of now. Please stay tuned for further updates.
Tuesday — 3:45 p.m. — Gonzales & Westside location will have evening classes today will be held as regularly scheduled. Day classes at all three campuses will be held tomorrow, Wed 9/5/18. Be safe and use good judgment.
From Administration: We are monitoring the weather situation closely and will notify everyone via: email, Smart Notice, and the RPCC website of any closures or interruption in our normal schedules at all three campuses. While our Reserve Campus was closed today and this evening, Tuesday, September 4th, we will assume normal operations on Wednesday, September 5th. With that said, please take necessary safety precautions and use good judgement regarding your particular situation (location, travel requirements, driving conditions, flooding, etc.) to plan appropriate alternatives and notify those impacted accordingly.
