Full-Time Process Technology Instructor
Position Summary:

A full-time instructor is needed to teach process technology courses. Courses include: Introduction to Process Technology, Plant Safety, Plant Equipment, Instrumentation, Fluid Mechanics and other courses for this program. This person will also assist with program review and program assessment (NAPTA, ATMAE and SACSCOC, actively participate in the industry advisory board, plant tours, student interviews and internships, communicating and reaching out to industry partners. Actively participate in the development and updates of the competency-based curriculum and instructional materials in Process Technology.  Actively recruit and advise students and coordinate job placement and other external learning experiences.  Assist the Program Coordinator in the purchasing and maintenance of equipment. Assist in the planning, budgeting, and management process for the Process Technology program.  Actively participate in all program evaluation, graduate follow-up as required by the college, state and accrediting agencies. 

 


Qualifications:

Associate's degree or higher in Process Technology or related field required.  Three (3) years' experience of industry related experience with plant operations, startups/shutdowns, troubleshooting,safety, operator training in plant processes.


Salary Range:
$48,000

Part-Time Welding Instructor (Grant Funded)
Position Summary:

Part-time welding instructor needed to teach welding courses in either day or night. Classes are available starting with the fall semester (August 2015).  Current position is for three nights a week for 10 weeks.  This is a grant funded position and is contingent upon continued grant funding.


Qualifications:

Minimum: Substantial validated experience in the field of welding technology or A.A.S or B.S. in a related field

Preferred:  NCCER Trainer Certification

 


Salary Range:
$40 per hour

Spanish Adjunct Instructor
Position Summary:

August 2016 Anticipated Start Date

 

Part-time (day time) Spanish instructor for both dual-enrollment high school  and traditional college transfer students on RPCC’s campus.


Qualifications:

 

Minimum Qualifications:  SACS/COC credential required, Masters degree with 18 Graduate Hours in Spanish credential required, Masters degree with 18 Graduate Hours in Spanish

Preferred Qualifications:  SACS/COC additional second teaching credential

 

 

 

 

 


Salary Range:
Commensurate with education and experience.

Industrial Training Specialist-Part-Time Pipefitting Instructor
Position Summary:

The incumbent will serve as the instructor for the NCCER Pipefitting course series, Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 as well as the NCCER CORE Curriculum course.  Implement and evaluate non-credit bearing workforce training courses to help students achieve entry level industry-based credentials (IBC) requiring the knowledge and skills learned in the training.  Responsible for full implementation (set-up, preparation, instructional process, project management and follow-up reporting) of all aspects of the Workforce Training Course including administrative and instructional tasks.  The course(s) and resulting IBC(s)is intended to help the students secure a job or advance in their current job.  GRANT FUNDED


Qualifications:

 

5-10 years field experience as a Pipefitter Journeyman in an industrial setting

Industry-based NCCER Level IV Pipefitter Certification

OJT and/or classroom teaching experience

Experience with computer and proficiency in MS Office


Salary Range:
$40 per hour - 12 hours per week - GRANT FUNDED

Part-Time Electrical Technology Instructor
Position Summary:

This position will be required to teach continuing education and credit-bearing programs in Electrical Technology and to provide programmatic leadership in the development of the Certificate, Technical Diploma, and Associate of Applied Science program related to equipment set-up and course and program implementation.  


Qualifications:

Required:  Minimum 10 years experience as licensed master electrician and two-year diploma in electrical program.

Preferred:  Bachelors or above in electrical or industrial technology related field.
