Full-Time Electrical Technology Instructor
Position Summary:

This position will be required to teach continuing education and credit-bearing programs in Electrical Technology and to provide programmatic leadership in the development of the Certificate, Technical Diploma, and Associate of Applied Science program related to equipment set-up and course and program implementation.  


Qualifications:

Required:  Minimum 10 years experience as licensed master electrician and two-year diploma in electrical program.

Preferred:  Bachelors or above in electrical or industrial technology related field.

Welding Adjunct Instructor
Position Summary:

Part-time adjunct instructors are needed to teach welding courses in either day or night classes. Classes are available starting with the summer and fall semesters. Courses include Orientation and Safety, Basic Blueprint, Metallurgy, Electrical Fundamentals, Oxyfuel Systems, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW welding courses.

Full-Time Scaffolding Instructor (Grant Funded)
Position Summary:

This position will be required to train participants on OSHA Standard 1926.451 for scaffolding, personal responsibility, customer service, physical fitness, roles of a high performing scaffolding team, safety, tool use, identifying and building different types of scaffolding. The Industry Training Specialist: Scaffolding must also be able to instruct and lead participants in “hands-on” training exercises to master all of the above including erection and dismantling of all types of scaffolding. This is a grant funded position and is contingent upon receiving grant funds.


Qualifications:

Required:  Minimum 3 years’ experience as a carpenter (journeyman level) or supervisor level scaffold builder. Positive disposition and temperament a must. Excellent instructional and delivery skills. Must be proficient with required documentation for performance observations, testing, recordkeeping, attendance and participation.

Preferred:  Previous experience as instructor.

Director of Development
Position Summary:

This position will work with the Chancellor to solicit gifts related to annual support and capital projects for the college.  The incumbent will develop new and manage an existing portfolio of accounts and will be responsible for the identification of new prospects including all aspects of the research, cultivation/solicitation and stewardship process.


Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited university.  Candidates should explain how their degree and subsequent experiences provide preparation for this position.  Position requires excellent communication skills (oral and written), customer-relation and presentation skills.

To be successful in this position, it requires a high degree of social interaction with donors, volunteers, RPCC faculty and staff, alumni and students.  The successful candidate will be comfortable with cultivating and soliciting donors one-on-one, hosting at RPCC events, etc.

Special requirements include:

  • Possess a genuine interest in creating new resources for community college education.
  • Must be able to work independently and also in team settings.
  • Possess personal integrity, sound judgment and a jovial nature.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate degree and three to five years related work experience in fund raising for non-profit organizations or higher education institutions. Working knowledge of donor software or similar software program is desired.

Preference may be given to applicants who reside in the service area which includes the parishes of:  St. James, St. John, Ascension or Assumption.


Salary Range:
$40,000 - $55,000 Starting salary will be commensurate with experience and education
