Freshmen
The Office of Admissions notifies all new freshmen when they are eligible to begin the course registration process. All first-time freshmen schedule classes when they participate in RPCC's Freshman Orientation and Advising Program. This two-part program begins with an online orientation introduces students to the resources and skills needed to excel in college. For the second part of the program, students attend an on-campus advising session during which they create course schedules and receive parking stickers and ID cards.

Transfer, Re-entry, Non-matriculating. Visiting, and Auditing Students
The Office of Admissions notifies all transfer, non-matriculating, visiting, and auditing students when they are eligible to begin the course registration process. Students who fall into these categories schedule classes by attending a group advising session on campus. Advisors will be present to help students identify those courses that will best meet their academic and/or career goals.

Dual Enrollment Students
Dually enrolled students schedule classes by attending an advising session held either at an area high school or on RPCC's campus. Contact your high school counselor for more information.

Cross-Enrolling Students
At present, qualified RPCC students have the opportunity to cross-enroll at Nicholls State University, Southeastern Louisiana University, and Southern University at New Orleans. The purpose of cross-enrolling at one of these institutions is to allow students to take courses not offered at RPCC. Please click here for complete details about the cross-enrollment process.

RPCC students interested in cross-enrolling at another institution should contact the Office of Student Services at RPCC (225-675-8270) to schedule a cross-enrollment appointment. When making this appointment, please be sure to note the institution to which you wish to cross-enroll so that we can schedule your appointment with the appropriate staff member.

Louisiana Technical College (LTC) students who attend a campus in Region 3 or 9 may cross-enroll at RPCC. (Region 3 campuses include River Parishes, Lafourche-Galiano, Lafourche-Thibodaux, Young Memorial-Franklin, and Young Memorial-Morgan City, while Region 9 is comprised of the Ascension, Hammond, Sullivan, and Florida Parishes campuses.) Please contact the campus at which you are enrolled for details.
